As a classically-trained school psychologist, I offer evaluations to help families and school support networks to best understand learning profiles and correlating recommendations for student success. More specifically, I specialize in assessments for specific learning disorders, giftedness, and can conduct independent educational evaluations, functional behavioral analyses, and those to determine early kindergarten entry eligibility.
Beyond individual testing, I contract with private and charter school systems to aid in testing for exceptional children's service eligibility and individualized educational program development.
I am available for a variety of consultative and collaborative services for families, schools, institutions, and professionals. These range from answering questions about an individualized education program to full staff trainings and supervision.
Please reach us at info@cokopsych.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
As of September 2024 I am not accepting new therapy clients. If you are interested in these services or want to be added to a waitlist please don't hesitate to reach out.
The waitlist for an evaluation is usually around one to two months.
Once we get started, diagnostic evaluations beginning with an intake call and ending with the receipt of your report, are typically completed within 4 to 6 weeks.
I am an out-of-network provider, but will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I can also give all necessary CPT codes to consult with your insurance company about out-of-network reimbursement policies prior to us getting started.
Cost for services vary based on the individual, referral questions, and needs. You will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate prior to beginning our work together. For more information please see www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Understanding that this is a large investment, I also offer six month payment plans.
I'm Casey Okoniewski, a licensed psychologist specializing in neurodevelopmental disorders. I have spent my career providing developmental, psychological, educational, and behavioral diagnostic assessments to individuals across the lifespan, searching to understand more about themselves and their experiences.
I received my Masters in Education/Specialist Degree in School Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012 and then worked as a preschool and elementary-level public school psychologist. In 2017, I obtained my Doctorate of Philosophy in School Psychology from North Carolina State University after completing my clinical internship at the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities. Since then, I have split my time as a clinical researcher at RTI International and as a private psychologist.
My practice is motivated by a desire to help individuals meet their greatest potential utilizing a strengths-based, scientist-practitioner model. Through empirically-based assessment and intervention techniques, I aim to empower individuals, their families, and support systems to access resources to comprehensively meet their goals.
In your contact please let me know what type of service you are interested in and how you found COko Psych, along with any important contextual information such as the client's age and your relationship to them.
My goal is to respond back within two business days.
Thank you!
